The learning outcome of this work placement is to build confidence in communications with colleagues, improving time management (as there aren’t set working hours as a freelance worker), setting achievable goals and writing creatively.
In this placement, you will take over the “Me Time Monday” blog. You will be required to creatively write between 300-500 words per article, on article a week for four weeks. The topic is yours to choose, respectively, and should focus on either your personal time (hobbies, morning routine, an activity that you enjoy) or your own fictional characters personal time. You will be given worksheets to guide your hand and one to one tutoring and feedback to help improve your writing and project management skills. At the end of each week, you will be required to fill in an evaluative journal expressing your thoughts and feelings within the work placement. At the end of four weeks, you will receive an e-certificate signed by myself, Kayleigh Robinson, and Alexia Sibthorpe with a statement from each of your work ethics and skills.
