There are four work experience opportunities that we offer, they are creative, FUN and entirely ONLINE!
For four weeks depending on the experience you choose you will write, design, produce, get creative and produce some awesome work that we will certify with a achievement certificate and also upon completion give you a reference if needed regarding the work you have completed.

Creative Writing/Journalist
Work
Experience
Throughout this work placement, you will be in an environment that simulates freelance work, working online and with professional peers. The learning outcome of this work placement is to build confidence in communications with colleagues, improving time management (as there aren’t set working hours as a freelance worker), setting achievable goals and writing creatively.
In this placement, you will take over the “Me Time Monday” blog. You will be required to creatively write between 300-500 words per article, on article a week for four weeks. The topic is yours to choose, respectively, and should focus on either your personal time (hobbies, morning routine, an activity that you enjoy) or your own fictional characters personal time. You will be given worksheets to guide your hand and one to one tutoring and feedback to help improve your writing and project management skills. At the end of each week, you will be required to fill in an evaluative journal expressing your thoughts and feelings within the work placement. At the end of four weeks, you will receive an e-certificate signed by myself, Kayleigh Robinson, and Alexia Sibthorpe with a statement from each of your work ethics and skills.
NEWS AND GROOVES Newsletter
Work Experience
The graphics design work placement involves creating our “News and Grooves” newsletter to be released once a week for four weeks. The “News and Grooves” newsletter needs to creatively display what’s new on our website, challenges and blog updates and pictures. The learning outcome of this work placement is to build confidence in communications with colleagues, improving time management (as there aren’t set working hours as a freelance worker), setting achievable goals and writing creatively whilst simulating a freelance work environment. You will be required to work through worksheets to guide you and receive one to one tutoring once a week to help improve your skills. At the end of each week you will be required to fill in an evaluative journal expressing your thoughts and feelings with the work placement. At the end of four weeks, you will receive an e-certificate signed by myself, Kayleigh Robinson, and Alexia Sibthorpe with a statement from each of your work ethics and skills.
Content Creator
Work Experience
The content creator work placement involves creating content for Our Time Youth Agency’s Instagram following the current aesthetic template, ensuring relevant, informative and creative content for viewers. The learning outcome of this work placement is to build confidence in communications with colleagues, improving time management (as there aren’t set working hours as a freelance worker), setting achievable goals and writing creatively whilst simulating a freelance work environment. You will be required to work through worksheets to guide you and receive one to one tutoring once a week to help improve your skills. At the end of each week you will be required to fill in an evaluative journal expressing your thoughts and feelings with the work placement. Youth Ambassador Work Experience
If you enjoyed this experience, you can join our Youth Ambassador team permanently, and recieve Our Time merchandise for your creative efforts!
The Youth Ambassador work placement involves being loud and proud to be a V.I.Y.P. In this placement you will learn to come up with an idea, plan, research and bring your idea to life to help promote Our Time Youth Agency and getting more people involved. The learning outcome of this work placement is to build confidence in communications with colleagues, improving time management (as there aren’t set working hours as a freelance worker), setting achievable goals and writing creatively whilst simulating a freelance work environment. You will be required to work through worksheets to guide you and receive one to one tutoring once a week to help improve your skills. At the end of each week you will be required to fill in an evaluative journal expressing your thoughts and feelings with the work placement. At the end of four weeks, you will receive an e-certificate signed by myself, Kayleigh Robinson, and Alexia Sibthorpe with a statement from each of your work ethics and advantages.
